Liberals attack Melania Trump over “nature” cures comments

The liberal media cannot stop trying to vilify the Trump family. From staging boycotts on Trump brands, online bullying, and Vanity Fair hit pieces, it seems that everything the family does is subject to being scrutinized and taken out of context. Sometimes the family members don’t have to do anything at all and hatred will still follow; just ask Barron Trump. While many bemoan that criticism is part of the role of a public figure, the bias held towards this family is getting a bit stale.

Leftists really worked themselves into a tizzy over comments that First Lady Melanie Trump made while touring the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. During the visit, she spoke to young patients and their families, and upon admiring the Bunny Mellon Healing Garden, which is dedicated to America’s first ladies, she took the opportunity to speak on what she felt were the benefits of nature in regards to health.

“I am a passionate believer in integrating and interpreting nature’s elements into our daily lives to create a warm, nurturing, and positive environment,” she said in a statement. “I believe that these same natural benefits can be instrumental to enhancing the health and well-being of all children. It is important to me that children can recognize, identify, and express their feelings in order to promote their mental wellness and healing process,” the first lady added.

Almost instantly, liberal sites began falsely claiming that her comments were in defense of President Trump’s intentions to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act and that she was suggesting Americans who lose their healthcare shouldn’t be worried because they can rely on the healing properties of nature. The first lady never made any statements regarding healthcare, she merely pointed out the benefits nature and natural options can provide, especially during the recovery process. Most people, even liberals, can agree that Americans are overly medicated and that more natural surroundings and healthier choices can help in all of us leading longer lives. If these same statements had been made by Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama, they would have been praised for this line of thinking, all while the media falls over themselves to start a dialogue about natural remedies.

This is the same hypocrisy we see when Leonardo DiCaprio lambastes society about climate change and carbon footprints, but then turns around and uses private jets to jet set across the globe.

Melania Trump’s views do not come as much of a surprise as the Trump family has vocally regarded the attempts they make at healthier lifestyles. Ivanka Trump has said that the whole family consumes mostly fresh, organic meals and even calls the diet The Trump Wellness Plan.

It is nice to have a President that doesn’t put Big Pharma’s interests first when it comes to making decisions for American Health Care.
